[This is a continuation of my previous post, A quick look at tomorrow]
School, it’s started and so far it’s been pretty awesome. I’d like to note a few things first.
- No more vinegar in the salads (I know, I miss it too :[)
- There are 9 periods a day and the block system I discovered last year is will not work with the new schedule
- A and B days are now non-existent. You have the same classes each day.
- In addition to the four listed specials, Drama (Ms. McConnell) is also a special for Q1
- PowerSchool has been upgraded to PS6.2.1, I’ll grab the Parent Account Creation URL after I get to my computer.
- Lunch has been pushed back to after 6th period (vs. after 4th period) This also applies on Fridays.
- Chapel is still after 1st period
- The school is doing a trial of PolyVision in the art room. (maybe in other rooms?)
- The Mimeo boards the school purchased have not arrived yet
- On Flag Raising, a fourth class representative has been added. This person is responsible for the mornings prayer.
- PreAlgebra is split into two periods, each period having 12 students. It’s assumed the same is happening for Algebra I.
- The block system is still alive in pieces, however some students have been found to have pretty much identical schedules (me and @itsfelixthecat, as an example) which means that it is also possible that there is a set list of different schedules PowerSchedule is choosing from.
- Crocs are still not allowed
- Mr. Adams is MIA from teaching PreAlgebra due to an arm injury, he’ll be back around the start of September.
